Westerly Centaur

Description

Remarks :

The Centaur was one of the most popular boats that Westerly ever built. They built in the region of 2,400 between 1969 and 1980 which is testament to the brand. Penned by famous designers Laurent Giles the Centaur appealed to both the family cruiser and the lone yachtsman. The design had it all with a cockpit space more in keeping with a 30 footer, a choice of interior layouts to suit individual needs and a keel configuration that allowed drying harbours and estuaries to be explored. She sailed not too badly either and handled herself admirably in a blow.

This particular example has been in family ownership for a very long time. She has spent a lot of that time ashore where she has been almost completely renovated. She now has a smart painted hull, teak decks, a New Beta engine, new sails, new rigging and a bespoke interior that still conforms to her C-Layout. She is in a useable condition but does require her headlining completing.

Priced to sell she offers excellent value an a great opportunity to have an almost brand new boat for not a lot of money.
