1998 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40. A spacious 3 cabin yacht offering 8 berths, 6'7" headroom and diesel heating. Bermudan sloop with fin keel, Volvo Penta 40hp MD2040 diesel engine (2015) and shaft drive. Sail Cover and Lazyjacks

Sails:

Main:

Carbon Main—Sanders 2019. Fully Battened and little use.

Pentex Main Sanders. Fully battened reasonable condition and shape

Vectran Main Sanders. Fully battened. Older but still holding sail shape well

Dacron—Partially battened older and not used for several years but believed to be in usable condition.

All the mains are fitted with Stainless Steel Tidesmarine slugs.

The longer battens for the 3 fully battened mains are the same length so you can carry a spare sail plus top batten and not have to carry full length battens.

There is a complete set of battens for the Dacron but not used for several years.

Owners comment—As long as they are properly covered when not in use there is 10+ yrs worth of mainsail use. The sails have a total of 4 sets of Tidesmarine slides which can be re-used.

Genoa:

Wild Spirit was fitted with a Flatdeck furling system around January 2018 and the Carbon Genoa made for it. The Vectran has extension loop to fit and the Pentex a luff extension tape.

Carbon Genoa –Sanders 2017 –lovely sail. Quick change hooks.

Pentex—Sanders—some repairs but holding shape well

These 2 have no UV strips but there is a full Genoa Sock by Sanders in good condition

Vectran – plenty of cruising life left and UV strip

Furling Heavy Weather Jib—Sanders--Vectran, little used, Quick change hooks.

Owners comment—made for us in 2017 when we had a non-furling Genoa, effectively a flattish cut No4 and very useful when going uphill into F5+. Fits into luff groove but has tapes as well to comply with RORC Cat 2.

Old HW Jib—hardly used hank on model.
