The Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents’ (ABYA) is the association that represents professional yacht brokers, dealers and also new boat sales people. ABYA members must have demonstrated a knowledge and application of the necessary legal, financial and tax documentation required in order to pass on good legal title when buying a vessel in order to become a member.
ABYA provides on-going training and monitors the continual professional development to its members to ensure that they are up to date on key areas such as marketing, anti-money laundering, the Recreational Craft Directive, Sale of Goods Acts, contract law, health and safety and the VAT Status of vessels.
