Comprehensively-equipped and extensively refitted/upgraded German Frers-designed Hallberg-Rassy 54 centre-cockpit cruising yacht from 2009. Boasting a push-button furling rig and every option you could wish for or require.

Delivered new to UK/Scandinavian owner in late Spring of 2009 and hull No.30 of 44 German Frers-designed Hallberg-Rassy 54’s delivered between 2006 and 2012, AGLAIA was used sparingly in Scandinavian waters for her first 11 years, before purchased by her current Scandinavian-based owner in 2020. Refitted and upgraded for serious bluewater sailing, AGLAIA took part in the 2024 ARC and has since sailed around the Caribbean and Bahamas and is now heading back towards Europe.

With almost every possible option ticked at time of build, AGLAIA’s 2021-2023 refit built upon this already impressive specification to create the perfect short-handed, all-climates liveaboard cruising yacht, ideal for a couple to manage without crew, but with her luxurious 3-cabin, 2-heads, teak-finished interior, the space and comfort for family and friends to join the fun.

OWNER’S COMMENTS:

AGLAIA is a head turning ”mini superyacht” with which you can go anywhere anytime. All systems fully functioning at top standards. She is a fantasticly fast, effort-less, soft, caring and smooth riding yacht in any sea-state and whilst living aboard. She is built and equipped for full operations and comfort in hot or cold climates.

AGLAIA spent her first 11 years as a pure ”Nordic” boat meaning 9 months/year inhouse with mast down and 3 months in water sailing. No sun or salt… From then, during and after our 2-3 years upgrade and refit work, we took her on a ride as a home for us sailing to the Med, around the Med and for an Atlantic circuit including all the Caribbean, Bahamas, the US and a planned sail back to Europe.

Nothing has been left un-attended or not maintained. No costs or efforts has been spared to keep her in best ever condition. Any pre-symptom of any misfunction or failure has been dealt with immediately. AGLAIA’s initial options list from the builder was all-boxes-ticked from new. Our mini-refit during 2021-2022 concentrated making her up-to-date to the most modern electrical system, navigation equipment and interiour looks. Litium conversion, new charging, kitchen upgrade, new plotter/instruments, refurbished deck, new davits, new hypalon tender, new sails, watermaker replacement, Coppercoat bottom treatment, new interior and exterior upholstery, carpets and so on.

There are no known errors or malfunctions, including systems, engine, propulsion, rig and domestic systems (AC, heating, fridges, Watermaker etc) even if AGLAIA has naturally traces of normal use.

She has a superstable semi-professional Furuno navigational system with 2 plotters, 3 autopilot controls, 7 multi-function displays, Furunos renowned D-GPS system, radar etc.

She is 24/12/230V (50/60 Hz) based and 115 V enabled to operate in the US.

AGLAIA and her crew won proudly the ”Hitchcock” World Cruising Club/ARC price 2024 for best safety equipped and prepared yacht.

Whilst we love and has cherished this boat during 6 years, family and other interests are developing and looking for time. Sailing will in the future be done differently. Hence we look to separate from her in a controlled and respectful way leaving her to another discerning owner to together enjoy yet another adventure.
