The Tadorne is built by Latitude 46 on Isle de Re, near La Rochelle in France. They have been building day sailors, racing boats and weekenders since the 1980's. The Tadorne was first launched in 1991 and has beautiful lines as do all of the sailing yachts built at this renowned yard. Alouette is as pretty as a picture, offers good sailing performance, as well as having space below for 2 people to spend a night or two on board. A twin axle trailer means she can be easily towed to her summer spot, or back home for a her winter storage.
She has a wide, open, self draining cockpit with space for 6 persons. All of the sailing lines are easily handled and clear of the cockpit, either on the coach roof, or to hand at the helm. Teak to the coamings, toe rail, side decks and cockpit all add to the traditional feel. The tiller helm with a spade rudder gives good feel to the and the drop down centre plate gives her fantasitc grip and means she can take the ground if needed. The fully battened mainsail and inside led genoa gives her good performance upwind and down.
Alouette is currently under her first ownership and has been meticulously maintained. She spends a few months every year on her swinging mooring in Mylor. She has her spars checked, stepped, unstepped and stored inside every year and the exterior varnish is refreshed annually.
Currently in Mylor, near Falmouth and available for viewings, please contact our Falmouth office for further information.
