2007 model Hunter Legend 38, shoal keel version, ideal for the East Coast with 1.5m draft, Yanmar 40hp diesel with saildrive (diaphragm replaced 2020), Coppercoat, Selden in-mast furling, standing rigging renewed 2025, fully equipped including Webasto heating, hot water, plotter and autopilot!

MECHANICAL

Yanmar 3JH4 40hp inboard diesel engine (2006). Saildrive (diaphragm renewed in 2020) to fixed propeller. 35 gallon fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around 2 litres at a cruising speed of about 6 knots.

ELECTRICAL

Alternator charging to 3 x 12v batteries (1 x 110 Amp/hr, 2 x 240 Amp/hr). 240v shore power with Sterling charger. LED lights. 180w solar panel. 300w inverter.

NAVIGATION

Raymarine instrumentation including compass, depth, log, windspeed & direction, autopilot and Axiom chart plotter with Navionics software Standard Horizon DSC VHF radio, GPS, radar reflector, clock and barometer, navigation lights, steaming light, tri-colour masthead light, anchor light.

SAFETY

Jackstay lifelines on side decks, danbuoy, lifebuoy, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguishers, gas detector, smoke detector, bilge pump.

DECK GEAR

DOMESTIC

Sony sound system with speakers. Webasto warm air diesel heating. Her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, microwave, icebox and refrigerator, water supply to sink from 75 gallon freshwater tank, hot water via engine calorifier or 240v immersion heater. Her separate heads compartment has an electric flush marine toilet, wash basin and shower with hot and cold water, 20 gallon holding tank. Blue fabric upholstery, teak and holly cabin floor, window blinds.

OWNERS REMARKS



"Gosshawk" has been a comfortable and reliable cruising yacht. We have spent several years cruising the South and East coasts from the Solent to Lowestoft, we have also crossed the Channel eight times and lived on board for 5 or 6 months every season (except Covid). She's had many recent upgrades and we will be sorry to see her go.
