Description

Harley 25 Cowes Classic, GAIA is a fantastic example of these great litte Solent run arounds. She benefits from many recent upgrades and looks the part. Powered by a 200hp Volvo Penta, GAIA crusies comfortably at 18 knots with a top speed of 25 knots, allowing you to get around quickly.

Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised C – “Coastal cruising”.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

  • White deck with moulded non-slip deck pads and white superstructure.
  • Moulded GRP blue hull.
  • Teak-laid aft cockpit.
  • Teak slatted bathing platform, with integral auxiliary outboard motor bracket.
  • Semi displacement Nelson hull design by Arthur Mursell of TT Boat Designs.
  • Hull constructed with multiaxial GRP reinforcement.
  • Encapsulated foam stringers.
  • Spray rails and black rubber fender at hull to deck joint.
  • Timber rubbing rails.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

  • 1 x Volvo Penta AD41-E 6-cylinder (turbocharged & aftercooled) 3.6 Litre diesel engine (200hp@3800RPM).
  • Mechanical single lever gear/throttle with Morse-type control to port helm console.
  • Volvo sterndrive unit with trim/tilt, 1.95:1 reduction ratio.
  • Wet type engine exhaust system.
