OWNERS COMMENTS

REMARKS

"Rose of Arden" was purchased by her present owner in 2001, a professional survey was carried out at the time and all recommendations carried out. She was the first of four vessels built to the same design, all involving the 'metacentric shelf formula' which was much favoured by the notable designer, Dr Harrison Butler. She was built in pitch line on oak by the local yard, Whisstocks and has been maintained to a high standard by her many custodians since. Under present ownership, she has been painted and varnished every winter except 2020 (Covid) and has cruised the East Coast and across to Belgium and France. Her last survey was in 2001. Her engine has been serviced annually and her sails are in good order.
