Design and Construction
The X-Yachts X-37 is the ultimate performace cruiser. Designed by Niels Jeppesen and built by the highly regarded Danish boatyard, almost 150 were built after high demand over 6 years.
The X-37 has a powerful rig, fully battened mainsail and deep bulb keel, all giving her exceptional upwind performance, and some impressive results on the racing circuit. The interior is finished to a high standard with two large double berths in separate cabins and two singles with lee cloths in the saloon.
Ownership and Upgrading
Scintilla has been under her current ownership since new. All the added extras were ticked when working through the options booklet. Recent additions have included a powered halyard winch to make light work of sail hoists and reefing, upgraded electronics and new standing rigging in 2023. All of her lines are led aft to the cockpit and the main sheet track and primary winches all within reach for the helm. A recent addition of a North Jib helps reduce the power and ease of tacking in heavier conditions.
Location
This X-Yachts X-37 has recently been relaunched after her annual servicing and antifouling.
