Remarks :This 1997 Hunter 430 is a capable and well-found offshore cruiser designed by Warren Luhrs and built by Hunter Marine in the USA — a roomy, seaworthy design that has earned a strong following among serious cruising sailors. She comes with a marina berth lease at Lefkada Marina included in the sale, valid until May 2028, at no additional cost to the buyer. For anyone seeking a ready-to-use cruising base in the heart of the Ionian, this alone represents a significant and immediate advantage.
Finding a secure, well-located berth in the Ionian is neither straightforward nor inexpensive. Lefkada Marina places the new owner within easy reach of the finest cruising waters in the Eastern Mediterranean — the Ionian Islands, the Corinthian Gulf, and beyond — from day one of ownership, with no waiting list, no search, and no additional outlay.
In private British ownership since 2008 and maintained by Volvo-authorised agents, the yacht is currently ashore at Lefkada, freshly antifouled and ready for launch. She is offered at a realistic price by experienced sailors, and with the berth included, the overall package is excellent value. An excellent opportunity not to be missed — early viewing is strongly recommended.

Broker's Remarks
The Hunter 430 is a substantial offshore cruiser that appeals to buyers who know what they are looking for: generous volume, capable sea-keeping, and a specification built up over years of knowledgeable ownership. The current owners are experienced sailors who have owned this yacht since 2008 and have equipped and maintained her properly throughout.
The generator and twin air conditioning units, the bow thruster fitted in 2009, and the 200W solar panel all point to a yacht set up for serious passage-making and extended time away from marinas. Volvo-authorised agent maintenance gives confidence in the mechanical side, and the 2019 domestic battery bank and 2024 bow thruster batteries mean the electrical foundation is in good order.
The navigation suite is functional and includes a Garmin HD+ radar fitted in 2021 and a working handheld VHF; the fixed VHF is currently non-functional and will require attention. The navigation instruments are dated but working, and a new owner may wish to refresh the suite to their own preference — this is reflected in the asking price.
With the yacht freshly antifouled and ashore at Lefkada, a survey can be commissioned without the cost of a separate lift. The included berth lease to May 2028 removes one of the most time-consuming and costly challenges of buying a yacht in Greece. She is offered at a realistic price and we recommend an early inspection.
Accommodation :Accommodation
The Hunter 430 offers comfortable two-cabin accommodation with berths for six, including saloon berths. Headroom throughout is approximately 1.98m, which is generous for a yacht of this length. The interior is finished in teak with cream leather upholstery.
Layout
The layout comprises a forecabin with a large double berth to starboard, a seat and vanity unit to port, and an en-suite heads with WC, sink, and separate shower. The aft cabin offers a large double berth with ample storage and a hanging locker, with its own en-suite heads and separate shower. The saloon converts to a triple berth.
Domestic
The galley is fitted with a Seaward gimballed 3-burner cooker with oven and grill, a 12V Coolmatic fridge/freezer, a separate freezer, stainless steel sinks, a Goldstar microwave, and pressurised hot and cold water via a Seaward calorifier.
