Introduced as the Westerly Seahawk 34 in 1984, the design proved popular with cruising couples. The design was modernised in 1988 and relaunched as the Westerly Seahawk 35, featuring the sugar-scoop-style transom and a slightly tweaked interior layout.
A Westerly Seahawk 35, DART HIGHLANDER, was launched new in Scotland before being based in southern England for a period. Purchased by her current owners in 2002, she migrated back north and has been based in Scottish waters for the last 20 years. The centre cockpit layout, with roller-reefing genoa and mainsail, makes her ideally suited to short-handed cruising. Now reluctantly offered for sale as her owners look to retire from sailing, her inventory highlights include:
Original gelcoat finish to topsides and coachroof
Underwater hull epoxy coated
Volvo Penta 2003T marine diesel engine
Raymarine ST5000+ autopilot
Raymarine Axiom 9 MFD
Raymarine ST60 navigation instruments
Raymarine RL70C Pathfinder series radar
Icom IC-M323 DSC VHF
Full standing rigging replacement in 2023
Selden roller reefing gear on forestay, fitted new in 2016
Zodiac Cadet 260 inflatable dinghy
Suzuki 2hp, 4-stroke outboard
Ocean Safety 4-person liferaft
Lying afloat on her berth in Craobh Marina the Westerly Seahawk 35 DART HIGHLANDER is available for immediate viewing by prior arrangement.
