Boat Overview

The Val Kruiser 12.50 is a Dutch, aft cabin displacement motor cruiser powered by a single DAF 200hp inboard engine and bow thruster. With spacious accommodation for six, her comfortable accommodation is suitable for inland or coastal cruising and ideal for extended periods onboard.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins with good headroom throughout.

Glazed door and folding hatch from wheelhouse. Wooden spiral staircase leading to open plan layout. Comfortable saloon area with L shaped seating to starboard, bench seat to port, both with storage outboard and under, occasional table and solid fuel wood burner. Galley/dinette area with dinette to starboard, converting to a double berth and linear galley opposite with enamel sink and mixer tap, Giouien 4 ring 240V induction hob and Dometic refrigerator. Offset up and over single berths forward with good stowage. Escape hatch to foredeck.

Steps leading aft from saloon with separate shower room to starboard side, vanity unit with sink and hot and cold mixer tap. Hot and cold mixer shower. Heads opposite to port with vanity sink and Techna electric marine toilet.

Owners suite with king size centreline double bed. Fully fitted wardrobes and cabinetry to both sides. Reading lights.

Carpets, curtains, opening windows throughout and Webasto diesel fired heating.

Mechanical and Electrical Systems

Located beneath the saloon sole. Single DAF F2300/825TD 200hp six cylinder marine diesel engine through Hurth gearbox, shaft drive to fixed four blade propeller. Fresh water cooled. Single lever engine controls. Approx cruising speed 6 knots. Approx maximum speed 10 knots. Bowthruster.

24V system – two domestic and single engine start batteries (2021/22). Charging via engine alternator and shore power charger.

Construction

Built by Valk Kruiser of Holland in 1992. Hull Number R92. White painted steel displacement hull with black rubbing strakes and style strips. Painted steel superstructure and coach roof with grey painted non slip to decks. Alloy framed fold down windscreens. Folding mast. Hydraulic wheel steering to skeg hung rudder.
