NAUTOR SWAN 46

Nautor Swan 46 MkII from 1991 is a well travelled and now in need of some upgrades. Her deck is tired and she needs new sails but she is still a well known Swan 46 that sails incredibly. She has also still benefitted from updates in this ownership.

Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Built in 1991 by Nautor, Finland. Designed by German Frers.
• Hull number 46/093.
• White GRP hull.
• Teak decks – End of life.
• Centre and aft cockpits.
• White gelcoat hull with blue cove stripes, in very good shape.
• Hull sanded right back to epoxy and all areas with osmosis treated. 2 coats of epoxy primer and 3 coats of antifoul (2022/3).

 

Keel & Rudder:

• Lead fin keel.
• Cantilevered rudder.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Perkins (1991) Prima M60 inboard diesel 59 HP.
• Engine access from 2 points in galley and main saloon.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine top end rebuild, new valves and springs, new timing belt and pulleys, injectors cleaned, injector pump rebuilt and serviced, crankshaft oil seal replace, all fuel hoses replaced, heat exchanger removed and cleaned (2024).

Propulsion & Steering:

• SST wheel.
• Shaft drive.
• Maxprop 3-bladed feathering propeller.
• Dripless/vented shaft seal.

Voltage Systems:

• 12v/24V system.

• Manual and pressurized fresh water system (hot & cold).
• Manual and pressurized salt water system.
• Isotemp insulated 220 volt/heat exchanger water heater installed port forward under aft cabin berth, secured.

 

Bilge Pumps:

• 2 x Manual bilge pumps (1 x below and 1 x steering position).
• Electric bilge pump.

Tankage

Fuel:

• Total capacity of 378 litres in 2 x stainless steel tanks.

 

Fresh Water:

• Total capacity of 534 litres in 6 x stainless steel tanks.
• Fresh water tank gauge at chart table.
• Fresh water manifold under sole forward of the saloon.

 

Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:

• Holding tanks: 2 x stainless holding tanks, installed starboard forward under the aft cabin berth and aft of the forward head.
