NAUTOR SWAN 65

EVE is a well-preserved 1981 Swan 65 (S&S design, hull #35), widely regarded as one of the finest in the series. Purchased in 2015, she has benefited from continuous investment and meticulous maintenance, remaining in outstanding technical and cosmetic condition. Key upgrades include a full teak deck replacement (2023), a lithium battery system, removable davits, and extensive, ongoing refinements. Professionally maintained and always kept in ready-to-sail condition, she offers true “go-anywhere” capability. Combining iconic Swan pedigree with modern enhancements, EVE is a rare turnkey opportunity - an ocean-proven, elegant bluewater cruiser requiring no further major works.

Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• GRP solid laminate hull; painted in Awlgrip Off White with Empress Blue style lines 2013.  
• GRP superstructure, painted in Awlgrip Off White with Empress Blue style line, 2013 (almost gone).
• GRP, 12mm teak laid deck replaced in 2023 in Indonesia.
• Teak and stainless steel external trim.
• Hull below the waterline sandblasted back to gelcoat to remove any previous antifouling, then faired and primed with Gelshield epoxy primer in 2024. There has never been any osmosis; the hull is absolutely perfect. Treated with Trilux 33 antifouling in Barcelona in February 2026.
• Crash box water tight in the bow.

 

Keel & Rudder:

• Bolted lead keel.
• Skeg hung rudder.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Yanmar 4LHA-DTP, 180hp, Yanmar book serviced.
• Velvet Drive gearbox – model 10-18-010 with a ratio of 2:1 – fully reconditioned 2025.
• MaxProp 4-bladed propeller 2023.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Serviced in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.
• Engine hours: circa 5154 at May 2026.
• Drive water pump replaced 2021.
• Turbo replaced 2026.
• Inlet seacock replaced 2023.

• Craftman 24V 115kg tunnel bow thruster with separate batteries (2024).

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 24v Primary DC system is charted either by the main engine alternator or via the Victron Skylla-i charger.
• 220v AC throughout ship.

 

Battery Banks:

• 1 x 12v battery for engine start + 1 x 12v battery for generator start in separated battery box that can be put in parallel.
• 3 x Victron Energy Lithium 200 Ah 24 volts batteries for the house bank.
• 2 x 12v AGM batteries in series for the bowthruster and windlass.

 

Battery Chargers:

• Inverter, 220 volts, 1500 watt.

Fuel:

• Total fuel capacity of 1,250 litres (220 gallons) in 5 x stainless steel tanks, with day tank and filter system from the other tanks.

• Total water capacity of 1,000 litres (330 gallons) in 4 x stainless steel tanks, with crossover valves.
