Steel Wylo II

2015 Steel Wylo II, gaff rig offshore cruising yacht to Nick Skeates design, renowned for their seaworthiness. Lovely traditional design with comfortable 3 berth interior having a solid fuel stove, paraffin cooker and hot & cold water with shower and holding tank.

MECHANICAL

Volvo Penta MD3 35hp inboard diesel engine (later model late 1970's). Shaft drive to 3 blade fixed propeller. Keel cooled. 20 gallon fuel tank. Max speed under engine around 6 knots. Note, owners remark - although this is an older engine, it has been very well looked after since installation, starts first time and runs very well, with similar care this engine will operate for many years to come.

ELECTRICAL

Alternator charging to 3 x 12v batteries (120 Amp/hr) with solar panel. 2KVA inverter. 240v shore power. LED lights.

NAVIGATION

Compass, depth sounder, log, DSC VHF radio with AIS, FM/AM radio, windvane at masthead, clock and barometer, navigation lights, steaming light, tricolour light and anchor light.

SAFETY

Jackstay lifelines on side decks, danbuoy, lifebuoy, fire extinguisher, CO detector, EPIRB beacon, rope cutter on propeller, electric and manual bilge pumps.

DECK GEAR

Pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, boarding ladder, tiller, spinnaker pole, 2 backstay winches, Compass inflatable dinghy, davits, 35lb approx main anchor with more than 40m of 3/8 chain, manual anchor windlass, 44lb kedge anchor with chain, mooring warps and 6 fenders. Also beaching legs.

DOMESTIC

Solid fuel stove for heating. Her galley has a paraffin cooker, microwave, 3 pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, pressurised hot and cold water supply to sink from approx 20 gallon freshwater tank. 5 gallon holding tank. Hot water via engine calorifier. Her separate heads compartment has a marine toilet and shower with hot and cold water. Blue upholstery.

REMARKS



"Manatee" was built by her present owner and launched in 2015. She has been sailed in Solway and to the Isle of Man. The WYLO II is an iconic offshore world cruising boat made famous by Nick Skeates. WYLO II's can be found sailing all over the world oceans.
