Trident Voyager 30 – 1996 - £29,500
One of the last built of the popular Trident Voyager 30s (1996). This yacht is simply breathtaking! She is owned by a skilled boatbuilder who has lavished huge amounts of time on her, making her certainly the best example you will ever find.
The attention to detail and the high quality of the fittings and modifications are a credit to the owner. An almost brand-new 30hp diesel engine (only around 20 hours!) and a bow thruster have been fitted to aid marina handling.
This is not a standard Voyager 30. When new, she was fitted out for the first owner with an easily handled cutter rig and a very substantial stainless-steel bowsprit and aft gantry/arch.
While she was designed with a substantial deckhouse, giving remarkable space below for a 30-foot yacht, Trident Marine always marketed the Voyager 30 as a proper sailing yacht rather than a staid motor-sailer. She is a really solid and capable long-keel yacht with excellent offshore and go-anywhere potential, or even as a comfortable live-aboard.
She has been very keenly priced given the outstanding condition, and these don’t come on the market very often, and certainly not in this condition!
If you are looking for a safe & roomy cruiser that could be sailed away for the season with everything done that needs doing, this is the one for you!

Accommodation
4 to 5 berths in two cabins with a raised pilothouse styling giving excellent outside visibility from the saloon seating.
The current owner has lavished a huge amount of time and skill modifying and improving the interior, creating a really well-finished interior.

Some highlights include:
• All saloon, galley and heads carpentry stripped back. All timber fiddles, lipping timbers and Louvre doors reproduced and replaced as required in 2022
• Full refit of pilot berth. New lined panels, headlining, insulation and carpentry. 2022
• New washboards and companionway hatch glazing (smoked acrylic) 2023
• New companionway GRP sliding hatch moulding and combings 2024
• Removal and replacement of most headlinings (All saloons and berth). Coachroof and deck heads insulated prior to fitment of new headlined panels - also included the installation of a bulkhead locker above gallery area with extractor fan & bulkhead instrumentation panel above the pilot berth 2024
• Refit Provisions locker with stainless drawers, shelving and lighting 2024
• Removed and rebuilt all windows and hatches. All new lenses 2023
• Cabin sole plywood replaced with new Permateak and marine plywood access panels fitted allowing easier access to engine and bilges. 2025
• Stainless gantry and pushpit removed, polished and rebedded. Stanchions removed, rebedded and new guard wires fitted. 2025
• New toilet, hoses and all associated valves and fittings. Stainless holding tank removed, cleaned, tested and refitted.
• New freshwater system (Hep20 piping), calorifier, expansion tanks, pumps filters etc. Both S/S water tanks fully cleaned (340 litres in total, Port and STBD with balance pipe) 2026
• New companionway steps - redesigned with deeper treads, and correct angle.
• All interior lighting replaced and refined. Down lights added to cockpit and interior.
• New upholstery in pilot berth and saloon - all foam and upholstery replaced.
• New 5 KW Planar Diesel cabin heater installed in 2024. Outlets in all areas including heads - useful for drying wet weather gear.

L- shaped seating to starboard and short settee berth to port. New upholstery inc foam in 2026
Custom-made ‘old growth’ teak saloon table with drop leaves fitted in 2025, dual-level stainless steel mounting to allow use as a table or berth support.
Quarter berth aft to starboard - fully refitted in 2022 with new lined panels, headlining, insulation and carpentry. Oval opening portlight to cockpit well.
Galley area aft to port:
Taylors two burner gas cooker, separate hot plate, grill and oven below
Stainless steel worktop with inset basin, H&C Pressurised water supply with pillar taps, separate foot-pumped faucet.
Top-opening refrigerated cool box

Mechanical and Electrical Systems
Nanni N3-30 29Hp 3 cylinder indirectly cooled diesel engine - New in 2025 with only around 20 hours run from new!
New engine fitment included stripping engine compartment back to bare hull and reworked as required with new engine beds.
Fuel tank cleaned and tested. Only FAME-free diesel fuel used since

Construction details:
2023 – Hull Sanded back to base to remove a build-up of antifouling, re antifoul with International Micron 350 (same re-applied annually to reduce build up).
2023 - New bronze through-hull and associated fittings throughout.
2023 – All windows and hatches removed and rebuilt with all new lenses.
2024 - New companionway GRP sliding hatch moulding and combings, new washboards and companionway hatch glazing in smoked acrylic
All works carried out by time-served shipwrights and marine engineers.
