Marketing Description

The name Nauticat has been synonymous with both luxury and capability for many years. Rightly so, due to the fantastic build quality and lasting legacy of their craft. 'Cantily' is a fine example of their 38-foot offering and is offered for sale to those adventurous boaters looking to go further afield, spend extended periods afloat or are looking for a sheltered helm position without having to move to a motorboat. She is big, beamy and beautiful throughout with lots of internal woodwork, clearly defined living spaces, two heads and decent lounge and galley. This is the 'B' layout which provides a proper double berth in the aft cabin and a comfortable seating area in the wheelhouse. Recently ashore for hull polish, antifoul and anodes. 
Comprehensive electronic navigation equipment including radar, autopilot and AIS.

Mechanical

Vessel powered by a Ford Lehman 2722 inboard diesel engine. This fresh water cooled, 4-cylinder workhorse develops 90hp @2600rpm and will run all day every day. For a big boat she has a good turn of speed under engine and will hit 8 knots easily. 
Engine is situated in a sound proofed marine ply box beneath the cockpit sole allowing full access to all sides of the engine. 
Key start panel at inside helm with full engine instrumentation including rev counter, fuel gauges, temperature, oil pressure and charging. Single lever engine controls at both helms. Engine has only completed 2572 hours. 
Borg Warner hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction driving a stainless-steel shaft and 3-bladed fixed bronze propeller. 
Fuel is stored in 2x300 litre tanks which if husbanded correctly will provide a range of 600 nautical miles between fill ups. 

Electrical

12/240V systems on board with bank of 2x12V batteries providing engine start, domestic, bow thruster and windlass power. These are recharged via the engines 70amp alternator, solar charging system or via the onboard Sterling 1230 Pro-Charge battery charger when attached to shore power. 12V and 240V sockets onboard. Shore power including cable. 

Rigging

Ketch rigged sailing plan with deck stepped silver anodised aluminium main and mizzen masts. Main mast is keel supported by an internal samson post. Main mast boom fitted with a rod kicker for easy of handling. Mainsheet track on wheelhouse roof. 
Andersen 16, 2-speed halyard winches on main mast. Andersen 10 halyard winch on mizzen mast and 2xLewmar 46 2-speed self-tailing sheet winches situated at aft deck helm position. 
Sails include an in mast furling mainsail, roller furling headsail and boom mounted mizzen sail with sail cover.

Accommodation

Below decks is warm and welcoming thanks to the acres of solid wood cabinet work, mid-blue nautical upholstery and lots of natural light from the numerous deck hatches, port lights and windows. Main deck saloon entered from either side of the wheelhouse by lockable sliding doors. As previously mentioned, this is the 'B' layout, so the starboard entry door has fixed steps and the port side entry door has removeable steps so that greater access available to engine space. L-shaped seating area with storage below. Removable table with extending leaf. Inner helm position with central wheel, full sized chart area and navigation aids.

Moving aft is the 'Owners cabin with full width double bed, Hull is lined with teak slats minimising condensation. Lots of natural light and ventilation from opening port lights. Dressing table with Mirror.
Ensuite heads compartments with shower, sea toilet, holding tank and separate sink unit with storage below. Shaver point.

Returning to the wheelhouse/upper saloon and then forward is the galley/dining area. To port is the linear galley with good sized worktops, lots and lots of cupboard storage options and a double stainless-steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water. To the left of the sink is the large capacity top loading fridge and to the right is a gas fuelled oven with 3-burner hob and grill. 
Opposite on the starboard side is a U-shaped seating area with dining table that will sit six persons with ease. There is additional storage options and a flat screen TV mounted on the aft bulkhead. The table will drop transforming this to an additional double berth if required. 
In the bow is an additional sleeping cabin. This is set up as to single berths with storage below. Additional cubby hole storage mounted above each berth and an opening roof hatch for light and ventilation. 
Separate heads with sea toilet, sink, pull out shower and storage cupboards. Shaving point and mirror.

Construction

GRP constructed yacht with short fin ballast keel, skeg mounted rudder with stainless steel stock and bronze inserts. Short propeller shaft protected by keel and supported by a P-bracket. Cream topsides in good condition polished in August 2026. Hull was antifouled and anodes replaced in August 2026. Hull to deck join finished in teak capping rail. All deck areas teak laid over GRP. 
Foredeck with bowsprit, built in anchor roller and forestay attachment point. Deck mounted Lofrans Cayman 88 electric windlass with chain and warp gypsies. Good sized, wide side decks lead aft to raised aft deck with external helm position. Comfortable seating area with bespoke cushions. Raised accommodation deck with liferaft mounting point and deck vents. Wheelhouse with glass windscreen and side windows.  Sliding roof hatch.
