Harmony is a Pieter Beeldsnijder classic blue water cruising vessel. Built to Lloyd’s Class standards. She has a heavy displacement and solid fibreglass hull that delivers a stable and comfortable motion in heavy seas. Designed for long range passage with economy and comfort in mind and achieving distances close to 1500 miles at a steady 9 knots. During her current ownership of 34 years Harmony has been well maintained, including standing rigging replaced (2026), new prop shafts and inboard bearing housings (2023), fuel tank clean (2024). Anyone dreaming of those transoceanic voyages to distant shores in comfort should take a good look at her.

Accommodation

Offering up to 6 berths within 3 cabins finished in a high-quality interior of varnished teak. Up front there is a very generous V-berth with plenty of stowage throughout the cabin. Opening hatch to foredeck. Stepping aft to port there is a second large cabin with double berth and hanging locker. Two opening portholes. Generous stowage throughout. Opposite to starboard is a separate heads compartment with manual marine toilet, shower and basin.
Moving further aft and stepping up into the spacious saloon and galley with plenty of natural light. Large horseshoe bench with central oval table and flat screen tv. The galley, comprises of twin stainless steel sinks, fridge, Siemens electric grill and oven and microwave.
Moving down and into the master cabin which comprises of large offset double bed and ensuite heads compartment to port. Sofa to starboard. Stowage throughout the cabin including hanging locker.
Access is gained to the wheel house via steps up on starboard side from the saloon. Central helm position with a leather seat, navigation station and chart stowage. Comfortable leather sofa behind. From the wheelhouse moving onto the aft deck, with its custom-made enclosure making this area perfect for entertaining or relaxing and enjoying the views whatever the weather.
Pressurised hot and cold-water throughout.

Approximately 1892 litre water tank.
Approximately 200 litre holding tank.

Mechanical Systems

Located in the spacious engine room giving full access to both engines are two Ford Lehman 120 HP marine diesel engines. Naturally aspirated. Direct shaft drives to fixed 4 bladed propellers. Approximately 3600 litre fuel supply Access to the engine bay is gained through a hatch from passageway and at the entrance to aft cabin.

Masthead rigged Bermudan ketch. Deck stepped alloy masts and booms, Stainless steel standing rigging (2026). Terylene running rigging. In mast furling main and mizzen sails. Four Lewmar halyard winches (mainmast). Two Lewmar halyard winches (mizzenmast). Two Lewmar 65 self-tailing sheet winches and one Lewmar 52 self-tailing sheet winches.

Construction

Built in 1980 by the Cheoy Lee Shipyard to a Pieter Beeldsnijder design. White GRP hull and superstructure with blue bulwarks. Canoe stern and high bow. Teak deck and cockpit seats. Stainless steel pulpit, push pit and guard rails around. Heavy displacement hull and long keel. Wheel steering to a keel hung rudder. Hull has been epoxied.
