MOODY 48 DS

The 2025 Moody 48 DS NEW REGRETS is a stunningly equipped example of the innovative and spacious Moody deck saloon design and has had extremely light use over the last two summers. Last winter, she was stored indoors in Germany. Fully equipped with push-button electric furling sails, bow and stern thrusters, a generator, air conditioning, diesel heating, an upgraded engine, a washing machine, flat-screen TVs in the owner’s cabin and saloon, hi-lo tables that convert into extra berths, additional refrigeration, and a watermaker. Extensive electronics include Raymarine plotters at both helms, autopilot controls inside and out, a FLIR thermal camera, and an Orca navigation system. Aft, she features the Moody smart tender system with an electric davit and a fold-out swimming ladder on the swim platform. The large cockpit offers twin cockpit tables and can be fully enclosed with a canvas Isinglass enclosure. The dual helms are protected by a bimini, and forward on deck, there is a stowable sundowner cocktail table with upholstered seating. NEW REGRETS is in like-new condition and flies the Marshall Islands flag.

Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate).

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• White gelcoat GRP hull, with Balsa sandwich construction above waterline, and solid GRP.
• Caribbean grey waterline and cove stripes below the waterline, all outer skins coated in vinylester resin for superior osmosis resistance.
• GRP strong back grid.
• Epoxy barrier coat on bottom and Coppercoat antifoul.
• Full perimeter bulwark complete with continuous stainless-steel handrail.
• Coppercoat antifoul paint (no need to bottom paint).
• White GRP deck with moulded non-skid in areas around mast.
• Balsa sandwich construction.
• Thermal and sound isolated.
• Glued down Flexiteek decks with black caulking on side decks, foredeck, and cockpit.
